A Corporation Founded in 1992
After an already successful 22-year sales career in the Electric and Electronic Component industry, William J. Koch founded B K Controls, Inc. His first employees were his parents, quickly followed by his daughter, Cindy. Based on the principals Bill had incorporated throughout his career, the company focused on primarily serving the OEM market, with a strong emphasis on service and technical support.
Company Growth in 1994
With the addition of Bill’s wife, Debbie and his daughter, Kristin, to the company, B K Controls, Inc. continued to grow as a family business. John Ivan, Outside Sales Manager, also joined the company, bringing over a decade of Electric and Electronic sales experience.
Quality System Registered in 1996
B K Controls, Inc. achieved its first ISO9000 quality system registration through Underwriter’s Laboratories. Since then, they have continued to maintain certification to the updated standards, currently ISO9001:2015 registered through DQS/UL.
Next Generation Continues the Tradition of Service in 2020
Cindy Hall, previously VP of Operations and daughter of Bill Koch, was elected as President of B K Controls, Inc. She has been employed at BK Controls, Inc. for 28 years in operations, quality, and outside sales. The Board also elected sisters and long term employees Kristin Hanscom, VP of Operations and Wendy Cimino, VP of Customer Relations, to help lead the company into the future.
